Who We Are

PT Jembatan Emas Propertindo (Svarna Propertindo) is a part of the Association of Indonesian Public Housing Developers (ASPPRIN). It is a socially-driven real estate company committed to providing green and affordable housing solutions across Indonesia.

At Svarna Propertindo, we believe that everyone deserves a place to call home—a place that is not only affordable but also environmentally friendly. We are committed to providing sustainable housing solutions for low-income families across Indonesia. Our goal is to create communities that thrive through innovative, eco-friendly designs and practices.

This project is inspired by Indonesia’s rapid growth and urbanization, which are increasing the demand for affordable housing. Unfortunately, 40% of the total population cannot afford an equivalent formal housing unit without subsidies. Meanwhile, the bottom 20 percent cannot afford even a basic unit without deep and expensive subsidies. This leaves 29 Million Indonesians living in substandard housing with inadequate access to essential services, poor health, and vulnerability to disaster risks and climate change.

As of 31 May 2023, the house ownership backlog reached 12,7 Million backlog (Ministry of Public Works and Housing, 2023). In line with the global trend by 2025, 1.6 billion people are expected to be affected by the global housing shortage (World Bank, 2017).

Whilst massive housing development needs to be expedited, the housing industry in Indonesia contributes to carbon emissions; 3,88% direct emission & 20,72% indirect emission (Ministry of Public Works and Housing, 2023). Consequently, to address these socio-environmental issues, this project is designed to address the housing needs of low-income families the focus on sustainability and green construction methods will provide affordable housing and promote climate change resilience and environmental responsibility.

Through Svarna Property, I am committed to making safe and affordable houses for families across Indonesia.”

Profile

Founded by Diovio Alfath, a seasoned expert in international development, sustainability, smart cities, law, and government relations, Svarna Propertindo is built on a foundation of expertise and passion. With over nine years of experience, Diovio has worked with the United Nations, various international NGOs, and the World Bank on social inclusion and climate change, bringing a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the company.

For his leadership in creating non-profit organizations focusing on social inclusion and climate change, Diovio Alfath received the Global Emerging Young Leader Award 2018 from the United States’ State Department in Washington DC, USA.

Diovio is a law graduate from the University of Indonesia and he has completed his master’s degree from the Oxford Department of International Development (ODID), the University of Oxford, United Kingdom (UK), fully sponsored by the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office through the Chevening scholarship program.
